Who we are.
Sarah Rice, Director
Sarah is a communications expert passionate about the role work plays in all our lives.
As an award-winning journalist and public relations expert, her 25+ year career spans national newspapers and magazines as well as leading on comms programmes for organisations such as Bosch, The RAC and EasyGroup.
Sarah is founder and director of Rice PR, a boutique consultancy working with global clients focused on the future of work.
Specialist areas include supporting scaling and established businesses communicate meaningfully around EDI and ESG initiatives.
An Ambassador for Bristol Women in Business Charter and former Chair of refugee charity Aid Box Community, she is an advocate of human rights and fairer access to prosperity for all.
Bex Gilbert, Consultant
Bex has a 25+ year career split between newspaper and TV journalism and PR, media relations and communications management in the charity sector.
This includes 13 years at the British Red Cross communicating in crises ranging from the flooding on the Somerset Levels to the Manchester Arena terror attack and Grenfell Tower fire.
Bex is a skilled writer, illustrator, content-maker and storyteller who cares deeply about social justice and supporting people who have experienced difficult and complex challenges to tell their stories their way.
Having worked in senior charity sector roles including Head of News at the British Red Cross and Head of Brand and Communications at financial security charity Turn2us, Bex brings her understanding of organizational dynamics and leadership of high performing teams to her work as a freelance communications consultant.
In the time she has left, she also works as an illustrator.
